One of the best things about the Corydon/Crescentwood Airbnb is that a proper date night doesn't require a car, a rideshare, or much planning at all. Corydon Avenue is Winnipeg's Little Italy strip, and it's built for exactly this: dinner, a short walk, and a drink to close out the night, all within a few blocks of the front door.

Start with dinner

For a classic Italian dinner, Bar Italia (737 Corydon Ave) and Passero Restaurant (774 Corydon Ave) are both sit-down anchors of the strip, and Colosseo Ristorante Italiano (670 Corydon Ave) is another long-running option if you'd rather compare menus before deciding. If you want something outside the Italian lineup, Saperavi Georgian Cuisine (709 Corydon Ave) is worth the detour; it's the first Georgian restaurant on the Canadian Prairies, open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday (closed Mondays), with a menu built around traditional Georgian dishes.

Book ahead on weekends

Corydon's restaurants are neighbourhood-sized, not built for big walk-in crowds, and the strip gets busy on Friday and Saturday nights, especially with patios open through the summer. A same-day or next-day reservation is usually enough on a weeknight, but for a weekend date night it's worth calling or booking online a few days out.

Finish with a nightcap

For a drink after dinner, The Roost (651 Corydon Ave) is the strip's dedicated cocktail bar, with a rooftop patio and a menu built for sharing if you've still got room. It's an easy walk from any of the dinner spots above, so there's no need to plan transportation between courses.
